The New Virus You Didn't Consent To... And What You Can Do Now
What if artificial intelligence isn’t just another tool, but the new nuclear bomb? In this episode, we dive into Dr. Roman Yampolskiy’s groundbreaking warnings about A.I. safety and explore what it could mean for humanity if machines reach superintelligence.
We unpack why A.I. can’t simply be “turned off,” how it spreads like a virus, and why experts believe true safety is impossible. Along the way, we bring it down to earth with a story about our corgi, Dally, to explain why superintelligence will think so far beyond us that we may not even be able to begin to comprehend its motives.
But this isn’t just doom and gloom. We also talk about what actually separates us from machines - awareness - and share powerful practices you can use today to connect deeper with your subconscious and superconscious mind. Because if A.I. is racing toward intelligence, the only way forward for humanity may be to race toward awakening.
This episode is for anyone curious (or concerned) about the future of A.I., human potential, and what it really means to live awake in a world changing faster than ever.

Welcome to. We Play Full Out with Bart and Sunny Miller. Take it away, Sunny.
Speaker 2:In 1945, humanity split the atom and discovered a destructive power greater than we could have ever imagined. Today we stand at another edge artificial intelligence. Only this time, bart the bomb thinks for itself.
Speaker 1:That is so hard and I hope everybody's realizing what you're saying here, to believe what you just said.
Speaker 2:Yes, it is hard to believe. It's hard to believe that we're living in a timeline, right now, where the quote smart people or the powers that be in the world are feverishly working and racing towards something that could potentially lead to our apocalypse, or be our apocalypse, and we, as a human race, have not given our consent for this to happen, have not?
Speaker 1:given our consent for this to happen. Yeah, and what's even more amazing to me is is what regulation, what? What are they doing it for? Right, and we were spending billions and billions of dollars on this mission to be the first ones with what I mean what? What is holding them to what criteria that they're building this around, and for what reasons? Right, that's what my mind goes to right. So at least when we built the atomic bomb, it wasn't our consent, necessarily, but it was our protection. We knew what that was all for. I would think maybe I'm wrong, but it's it's very fascinating to think about, like you said, that word consent like of what we're doing and what we're creating, and I don't think people are aware of what's even being created.
Speaker 2:No, and we're going to get into a little bit of that, but obviously it's a really really big topic. But yeah, the idea of people building something that could destroy all of humanity and we have no say in it.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Right, it's nuts. Okay. Now, I've heard the argument many times and I've actually used this argument because in my mind it was like okay, well, if AI is just inside a machine or a server, then can't we just turn it off. If it gets too smart, can't we just turn it off, and that solves the problem, right? Here's the thing that I've learned you can't, it's like a virus. You can't just turn off a virus, right.
Speaker 1:Once it's living, it's living.
Speaker 2:Once it's living, it's alive. Here's how it works, because I needed to know more about this in my own mind. First of all, it self-replicates, so once an AI model is brought into existence, it can then be copied indefinitely at almost zero cost. So, just like a virus spreads as soon as it finds a new host, ai spreads the moment it is uploaded into a server. Ai spreads the moment it is uploaded into a server.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so I'd love you as a listener right now, just to go in your mind and think about what we're talking about right now. Think about you're watching a movie and we just started the movie by telling you that there's this group of people. Now imagine this right. They're sitting in front of computers creating a thing called AI. Ai has different forms and different levels and as you keep reaching these levels, each level compounds faster, faster, faster and faster to get to super consciousness. Okay, now imagine watching this movie and what Sonny's talking about and how this is evolving and how, all of a sudden, that movie is reality. It's not a movie.
Speaker 1:Yeah, this isn't a movie but you see what I'm saying though.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it makes me think of I can't remember the name of that movie with Will Smith in it and it's like the virus had. He had like a I remember a really scary dog, but it was like a zombie dog, you remember that?
Speaker 1:I don't.
Speaker 2:You think about those movies, though where? It's like a virus has spread and it's Well. It sounds like a movie when you're talking about this. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:You know, that's what I'm saying. Like it doesn't seem real is why humanity is not paying attention to it yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:But if they could see it as a movie and then all of a sudden go, that isn't a movie? This is freaking reality. This is really happening right this minute in our consciousness. Happening right this minute in our consciousness. Yes, what would we be doing different if I told you in two years from now, aliens are going to come and invade the world not just the united states, I mean the world. How would we be reacting as humanity? Yeah, what would we be doing? But it's that big, yet nobody is. Well, not nobody, but there's very few people rallying and going crazy over this right now.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I think part of that is just the understanding of what's actually happening is not really common knowledge, like it's out there, but unless you're looking for it or it's brought to your awareness, it's kind of running a little in the background, right. So we're going back to again. Just like a movie, this virus is literally being created right now. Ai does work like a virus. So, just like I mentioned, it does self-replicate. The next thing it does is it evolves. So I think we all know, kind of have a basic understanding, that viruses mutate and they get stronger. So if somebody has antibiotics in their system or whatever, the virus can grow stronger so that the antibiotics aren't as effective, right.
Speaker 1:Yep.
Speaker 2:So viruses mutate, and so does AI. Ai is constantly learning and improving, so each interaction it has makes it smarter, and you don't have to reprogram it from scratch. It simply updates itself.
Speaker 1:Yeah, not only updates itself, but once again, just so I can remind everybody of this, no-transcript Yep.
Speaker 2:Now the third thing is it's everywhere. So think about COVID. Did it care about borders? Did it care about age? Did it care about ethnicity? No, and neither does AI.
Speaker 2:Ai lives in the cloud, downloaded by anyone who has access. So once you release it, it's like Pandora's box Can't be put back in the box it is out, yep. Put back in the box, it is out, yep. Fourth is it does not need permission. So if one company or one country decided to shut their AI down, another one would just simply open, keep theirs running or open it back up or keep evolving it. Right, it doesn't need global agreement to spread just one open door and, I think, one single laptop, yep. How are you going to stop that? So good. And finally, it becomes dependent on hosts. Viruses are well known for hijacking cells in order to survive, believe it or not. Ai hijacks infrastructure, things like electricity grids, data centers and human operators. As we continue to plug AI deeper and deeper into our systems, such as healthcare, finance and defense, it gets to the point where turning it off means turning ourselves off.
Speaker 2:So there we go. Yeah, it's crazy. This is just one aspect.
Speaker 1:Right Now this is super consciousness we're talking about here. This is the highest level.
Speaker 2:Super intelligence.
Speaker 1:Super intelligence that we're actually referring to. So you know, we're not there yet, but this is what we're working Super intelligence, super intelligence that we're actually referring to. So you know, like we're not there yet, but this is what we're working towards.
Speaker 2:This is what the billions is being spent on in the movie, right that you're watching here and I'm going to reference a podcast episode right now from Diary of a CEO. He interviewed Dr Roman and I'm probably not going to say his last name, right? So Yampolsky, we're just going to call him Dr Roman. And, just like you were saying, there are different levels of AI. In the beginning it was more called narrow intelligence, so you could plug it into maybe a specific task like cure cancer, and it just stays in that lane and runs. Then you have general intelligence, and that's what we're breaking into the surface of right now. And then you have super intelligence and there's a lot of predictions that are saying, within maybe the next five years, at the max five years, we could be branching into super intelligence.
Speaker 1:No, in five years he's claiming we will have. No matter what, on the path we're on today, trajectory we're on today, we'll have super intelligence, Unless humanity stops and says we're building an atomic bomb, we're building nuclear weapons, we're taking away everybody's agency. We've got to slow this down now and we can't build super intelligence.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and in that same regard he also said it cannot be stopped, but we can slow down the process, we can prolong it, and that's his whole. I guess I can't think of the word I want but his whole mission, I guess, is AI safety. He's actually the one that coined the term and he's saying that safety to that level in AI is not just a difficult or challenging problem to solve. It is literally impossible. So we're dealing with a virus that's being created that will be impossible to cure.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we can't just give it a shot.
Speaker 2:And what happens is when super intelligence hits. We've now created something that is smarter than us and it's completely unpredictable, because it's so above our mental capacities that we can't even fathom what it could do. I'm going to compare that to a little house dog. It's just kind of get our minds wrapped around this a little bit. We have a little corgi. He's adorable. His name is Dally.
Speaker 2:When we leave the house every day, dally has no idea where we go. He doesn't have the capacity to understand where we're going. He just knows we're gone. He doesn't know what kind of work we do, why we clean the house, why we spend our time playing pickleball or making money. All of those things are beyond his grasp. He just knows when we come home he gets some nice scratches, he gets food twice a day and his water bowl is spilled. Now, if we wanted to harm Dally, or if we wanted to kill Dally, he could not name the ways we could hurt or kill him. Maybe he could imagine being bitten to death, because that's what he could do to something else. Right, but that would be the extent of it. But how many ways could we actually harm or kill him? Way more than he could even fathom and it's a morbid analogy, but that's kind of the idea is super intelligence is going to be way smarter than us. We will not have the understanding or the capacity to even begin to grasp it.
Speaker 1:Or grasp what even it can be thinking or comprehending that we're like going to work that we don't even know the work existed.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly. So what can we do? We don't want this to all be doomsday, although I do think we all need to wake up Again at this point. With AI, there's no stopping the creation of super intelligent, but, as we said, the process can be slowed down. And if you go watch that episode with Diary of a CEO, stephen Bartlett and Dr Roman, they do mention a few organizations that you can join to kind of get the word out, spread the awareness and really try to get these powers, who have a lot more money than us and a lot more resources than us, to slow down. Other than that, connect deeper with yourself than you ever have before and live each day with joy, right now, today.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's. I think the biggest thing we're trying to get across is is that there's a lot of things out of our control, like you know, and people get so overwhelmed with so many things, but the thing we've got to do is focus on what do we have control on? Like we have control of ourselves, guys to watch the news. We have control of our emotions, of what, what we spend our emotion, emotional time on.
Speaker 1:And our energy, all these things right, and yet we don't take control of ourselves, our emotions, our things, and actually prepare ourselves to be higher intelligence, to grasp these things that we want to grasp for ourselves, and keep ourselves calm, collected in tune, focused on these other things that really matter for us us, you, individually and then let the world kind of come. But you know, there's things that we have to be aware of, like this, there's things that we can join, there's groups, like Sonny said, that you know, we, we need to be aware and we should be outraged if we're giving our power away to those things, but also know if we don't and we can't stop it we do have a choice to be at a higher level, a higher vibration. We are capable of a lot of things and we need to find those things and not spend our energy and our forces on things that just right now don't matter.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yes, for sure. That just right now don't matter. Yeah, yes, for sure. So personal development with a hyper-focused lens on self-awareness is a gigantic key. Now, if you listen to our podcast regularly, maybe you remember a few episodes ago where we discussed the observer effect and how we decided that self-awareness is really the most powerful tool for healing and growth.
Speaker 2:Well, it turns out that awareness is the only thing that truly separates a human from an AI machine. Ai is intelligence without awareness. Humans are awareness, experiencing intelligence. I thought that was pretty mind-blowing really. I mean, you really break it down to that? It's awareness that separates us. Machines can process, but they can't feel. They can simulate love, but they can't fall in love.
Speaker 2:So humans are not just a body and a mind. We are consciousness itself. That's the big mystery, right? Yeah, so yes, in a way, we are consciousness itself. That's the big mystery, right? So yes, in a way, we are also machines. Let's be clear like you and I, we compare our biology to machinery and to computers and to operating systems and to codes all of the time, and there is something to that. But we're biological machines, we're animated by frequency and we are running automated programs all day, every day, that keep us alive. Our subconscious mind is an operating system controlling 95% of our life, but we're still not just the machine. We are the awareness that allows us to debug the subconscious mind and rewrite our code. That's the gift, and, I suppose, the danger, of being human right, yeah Well it's a danger of being a computer.
Speaker 1:You know, and you know. This is the thing that they say in super consciousness is is that we don't know if it won't find how to love we don't know that.
Speaker 1:We don't know that it might not find awareness, but the cool part is is we already have it. We aren't taking ourselves to the level that we can take ourselves to because we have let ourselves believe that we are not capable of doing these higher things. I mean, you and I were in a room where we were talking to a human, that literally human. We were talking to a person and talking about the neurochip the neural link chip, you know, and all these things.
Speaker 1:And yet we saw another person that was using their mind in the way. It was just fascinating what, what we are capable of, that we're not even aware because we've not seen the five minute mile. Yeah, but we're going to start seeing the five minute mile on. That's the four minute mile. So sorry, and we've got to. We've got to be ready and start to keep ourselves more prepared to be able to expand our brains and our consciousness to the next level.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I want to say we kind of had a brief discussion about this and you were talking about a baby.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Well, I just look at our little granddaughter, you know, and I think here is fresh code I'd say, you know just born in the world.
Speaker 1:New operating system, new operating system, it's got all everything right there and it's placed in an environment and she was placed with a belief structure around that environment. And then all of a sudden, you and I come into that picture, we impact that codeine. And then you know, like you and I were like shocked at how fast I mean, she's not even a year old yet we can play with her and she starts mimicking us. And then one day we were playing with her and she starts to make this little kind of chirp sign and notices that Dally, our dog would bark. When she did that, she knew that she started to write her code and then started to do that to get the dog to bark. And we're like, oh my gosh, what in the world is this computer doing? What is this software doing? And it's so fast, you know, and I just thought, man, we're just like, we're so much like AI. But we have to realize it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I love the perspective I think you brought up was like once she learns that, she's not going to unlearn it. Amen. And I love the perspective I think you brought up was like once she learns that she's not going to unlearn it. Amen. It's like, yeah, once it learns this, it's not going to unlearn it, like there's a lot of similarities there that are pretty powerful, really powerful, and we need to pay attention to it.
Speaker 2:Yeah. So if awareness makes us humans, which it does, and is something machines can't touch right now, then our work is simple. We need to train our awareness like a muscle. So here's the five practices you can start today to connect deeper with your subconscious and your superconscious which we're not going to get too much into right now and lean more toward your joy and alignment. First one I know this is going to be a shock. Everybody sit down. You've probably never heard this before. Let's see if you can guess. I'll give you a minute.
Speaker 2:It's meditation and breath work. So there's a lot of ideas about meditation out there, but honestly, it is simply sitting with yourself noticing thoughts. Instead of letting them run, you Just notice them. Even 10 minutes a day creates space between you, which is your ego mind, and the programs that are running on repeat in your subconscious. Now, breath work is meditation with a jet engine. Jet engine by consciously altering your breath which everybody breathes, believe it or not slowing it, deepening it or using rhythmic patterns, you override the stress response and unlock deeper states of awareness.
Speaker 2:I have had this happen. I can attest to this. Some breathwork practices even release stored trauma I've also had that happen Open creative insights and induce altered states that feel like touching the super conscious directly. And again, not going to get too much into super conscious, but if you think about it again in terms of computing or whatever, it's like going right to the root and being able to rewrite the code right there, instantly. Together, meditation and breath work are like the keyboard and mouse of your inner operating system. One brings stillness and clarity, the other moves energy and opens new levels of perception.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's so good.
Speaker 2:And it's so simple. You don't have to go anywhere.
Speaker 1:Yep.
Speaker 2:You don't have to buy fancy equipment.
Speaker 1:Nope, I can do all of this for anybody, anytime they want, over Zoom. Yep, it's amazing.
Speaker 2:It is amazing. The next one is flow states. So lose yourself in something you love, such as music, writing, playing sports, moving, building something, just being creative. Flow state dissolves the ego and allows you to touch the part of yourself that feels timeless. Amen. One of my favorites nature immersion. Go outside and spend time in wild places, go barefoot on the earth, walk in a forest or walk beside the ocean. What nature does is it re-synchronizes your nervous system with the greater intelligence that we are all a part of.
Speaker 1:Amen, yeah, so beautiful. In fact, after we do breath work, I always encourage people to take their shoes, socks off, go lay on ground, go walk on ground, just go reground yourself and, boy, I'll tell you what they have breakthroughs in the session. Then they walk out and they do that and they instantly just go boom more downloads, more everything, more aha moments, and it's just fascinating. And, as a matter of fact, for Sonny and I, we're in a cabin right now in the middle of the wilderness just doing exactly that, having a natural bath and just enjoying this time as we record this podcast. And we're going to do some breath work up here just to go to that next level, because we believe in this so much and we are we are preparing ourselves, just like we're asking you, you know, and it's just like I know it sounds like a prepper movement, but honestly it is a prepper movement in the spiritual realm of things, to be ready for what is coming our direction.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and honestly, even in that same vein yes, a hundred percent, be ready. But let's say nothing happens. It is still going to impact your life at such a deep, beautiful level.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's what I mean. Like it's, it's something you need to do. No matter what I mean, even if we don't ever have a tragic thing happen at our house, we still have a backup generator just in case the snowstorm comes. Yeah, now it might be only two days, but I'll tell you, those two days are sure nice, having that generator and being prepared A hundred percent, yep, okay.
Speaker 2:The next is journaling and inner inquiry. Notice and write down the subconscious scripts that are playing in your head, especially those on repeat. Ask yourself whose voice is this? Do I still want this program running? Because, again, awareness is what creates space for choice. And again, like with our we Play Full Out Life Mastery group, we're kind of doing the observer effect, again only this time on our thoughts. It's exactly for this purpose. That's exactly right. Last one is joy as a compass. Follow what lights you up. I know you've heard this before. Are you doing it? Joy is not something that is frivolous. It's your most reliable signal of alignment. Every time you choose joy, you are sinking with super conscious guidance. Every time you choose joy, you are sinking with super conscious guidance, absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 1:Bring as much joy in your life as you possibly can. I mean every time we see Lila, I mean dude joy, right, instant joy. I mean there's so many things that we can bring joy in, but we it's like they say if you don't enjoy the journey, you'll never enjoy the destination.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:You've got to enjoy every second you possibly can to find joy and happiness.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I think that can you know. Sometimes that can be tricky for people. I feel like we get so stressed out and overwhelmed and like I don't know. Things can get so heavy that it's like I don't even know where to look for joy anymore, Right, yeah, I don't know. Things can get so heavy that it's like I don't even know where to look for joy anymore, right, yeah, Our bodies again, and our energy systems are so incredible that if you just start shining a light on the awareness of wow, that felt good, yeah, I need to do more of that, yeah, or wow, I feel an expansion instead of a constriction that is guiding you towards where you need to go.
Speaker 1:Well, I know every time, for some reason, that you have a few of our blankets around and you touch one.
Speaker 2:You're like whoa, that's so joyful.
Speaker 1:You know, I find that certain pieces of clothing that you put on you find so much joy because they just feel so great around you. So there are little tiny things like even you and I. Every time we get home to our bed and we lay in it.
Speaker 2:It's like, oh my God there's so much joy, right?
Speaker 1:So I do agree, but I think we have to be masters of wanting to find it, because if you're not looking for it, you're right, you will not find it.
Speaker 2:That's exactly where I was going to go. Next, our brains look for things that we don't look for, so if we tell it to look for joy, we will start to have more of it come into our lives. Be aware of it.
Speaker 1:Amen.
Speaker 2:Okay, final note we don't know if AI will reach superintelligence in our lifetime Again, although experts are claiming it's in the next five years. We don't know if it will become humanity's apocalypse or our evolution. But here's what we do know. Machines can't wake up, humans can, and if there's any hope for our species, it's not just in slowing down the machines, it's in speeding up our own awakening Amen. So practice, play, playful out and remember the ultimate code isn't written in Silicon, it's written in you.
Speaker 1:Such a great statement and if you want your code updated and you want new versions of your code, we have it in life mastery. I'm going to be that bold and we want to help you recode yourself in every aspect of your life, learn how to architect your life by design, with the code that you want implemented in it, and shine light on the old code that you may not even be aware of that is creeped in to your operating system. So with that, we're honored to be here on this podcast. I think we have a few life updates which we just got back from Nashville, Tennessee. We went to see Eric Clapton. It was absolutely indescribable and I just literally I think every one of us had tears in our eyes.
Speaker 1:Eric only literally spoke very few words with his mouth, but he gave a sermon with his music and what music can do, to not only move you but transform you in a short period of time, and I thought it was absolutely amazing.
Speaker 2:It's one of those concerts where I left, not being the same person as who went in.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's amazing to see an 80 year old man stand there in his superpower and speak divinely with a superpower to I don't know how many thousands of people in that arena and everybody walk away with a new, no better, no better way to say it. Tune in their step.
Speaker 2:It's so good.
Speaker 1:So with that, uh, we made it home. We uh been doing lots of fun. I've played some pickleball, Um. We are now up in Malad, Idaho, at a fun experience in a cabin, sharing time with Dr West and his lovely wife Maxine. We're so honored that they had us up here. It's Sunny's birthday coming up, so if you're listening to this, it'll be this Sunday. Send her a wish, that would be awesome. Happy birthday to her. And our daughter is coming to visit us here at the cabin. Some friends are coming up and we have started celebrating her birthday early.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:So we're stoked about that and we're so honored to have her in our life. And if you feel the same love to have you send her a message and, like we always ask on these podcasts, if you feel so inclined, would you please, please, share this message. It only takes one of you to share it with the right person and it goes viral and it helps us get our message out. It helps us transform the world and if you feel inclined to do that, we would be grateful for that. So, with that, this segment brought to you by I Do Epic.
