Bart:

Welcome to. We Play Full Out with Bart and Sunny Miller. Take it away, Sunny.

Sunny:

Thanks, bart. Okay, we're going to have a pretty fun discussion today. We're going to talk about the dance of energies. Woo-hoo, exciting.

Bart:

It is very exciting.

Sunny:

All right. So we have been discussing the rather interesting dance between two energies that exist within all of us, masculine and feminine, and I think some people are like whoa, whoa, whoa, what do you mean? I'm a man, I don't have feminine energy. I'm a woman, I don't have masculine energy. But guess again, I think we get a little confused, because we do have a leading energy, but that does not mean that we don't have both.

Bart:

Amen.

Sunny:

The two should work together within us to create balance, harmony and fulfillment. It's a lot like the yin and yang right, but when the energy that is not your leading energy starts dominating the other, it can create chaos in yourself, your business and your relationships.

Bart:

You bet.

Sunny:

So Bart, what do we mean by masculine energy?

Bart:

Well, masculine energy is energy that is go, go, go, get stuff done, drive, drive, drive, drive. A lot of what the masculine energy is, which is push and it's penetrate, it's go, it's explosive type of energy and it's, you know, penetrate it's go, it's, you know, it's explosive type of energy, and it's now energy.

Sunny:

That is exactly right. It's also logical strategy, reason and, yes, exactly, it's about moving with purpose and taking action. It's about doing, and I do want to clarify, too, that there are women who have a leading masculine energy. Oh for sure, and there are men who have a leading feminine energy. So just I kind of was thinking about that after I said the first little bit, but it really just depends on what your leading energy is.

Bart:

Yeah, Once again, there's no judgment here on anything that's going on. We're literally talking about how to be in tune and understand your body better. It's like hormones. You know so many people get so frustrated when some guy he goes and gets testosterone because he's low on it but yet a woman will go do all his hormones. And it's not, it's no stress, but you know it's no judgment. It's literally when you understand your human body, everything about it you can perform, do things differently than you've ever done before. It gives you an edge up and I think that's the cool part about the era that we live in is we get to understand things at a deeper level than our ancestors got to understand them.

Bart:

So why not take advantage of these things, understand them in a deeper way and actually utilize them, and in our own lives? I think it's just smart.

Sunny:

Yeah, I do too. And, and you know, when we talk about balance, harmony and fulfillment, it sounds all wonderful but in reality can cause a lot of chaos.

Bart:

if you don't understand this, oh man, I mean, hey, if you're, uh, if you're different blood levels, you're, you know anything's off in a human. It can cause chaos and you don't even know it, and then all of a sudden, or you know something's off, but you can't figure out what it is. And then you just exist with it.

Bart:

Yeah, that happens a lot and I see that chronic, whatever you know what I'm saying. And then all of a sudden it's like all the years go by and they're like, oh, you just really needed this. And you're like why didn't I know that forever ago? Yeah, you know, so crazy is. Is we just accept it as normal?

Sunny:

Yes, we do, let's not do that.

Bart:

Well, not unless you want to. So let's move on. Let's talk about this.

Sunny:

All right. Well, on the other hand, feminine energy is more intuitive. It's receptive and allowing. It's more flowy, creative, open and vulnerable. So feminine energy is more about just being Once again where masculine is about doing. So men who only stay in their masculine energy can get stuff done, but when that's their only focus, I feel like it's harder for them to be in touch with what's happening around them and their relationships and all the things that are going on. They can lose out on, first of all, just relaxing because they got to go, go, go, being creative and listening with empathy. And I feel like strong masculine leaders have the ability to tap into their feminine energy to listen to their team, to step back, to have empathy for what their people are going through and for the challenges they're facing, and then they can also lead with that empathy.

Bart:

Yeah, yeah. I think that, as to be a great leader, or as to be a great father or a significant other, you've got to understand this energies, because if you have daughters or sons or women you're dealing with, or other men, and you don't understand it, you can absolutely hurt somebody and yourself at the same time.

Sunny:

Yeah, and then we kind of talked to you about the creative aspect of it. So you know, in marketing maybe it's you get into a creative flow with your landing page design or with your copy or whatever. I see you tap into your feminine energy a lot while we're shopping. Because, you're really able to get into this creative visual flow of what you're doing in that moment.

Bart:

Yeah, yeah, some reason that is just part of who I am. I just very I've always loved design, as far as when I take a pickup and I want to see what I want with it.

Sunny:

You know, I can put it together clothing, things like that. Well, fashion especially, I would say, like you're pretty passionate about fashion. You love to see how things fit together, why somebody wore what they wore and how it all looks.

Bart:

How it affects others. Yep.

Sunny:

Really cool. So women can get very shut down and unhappy when they stay too long in their masculine energy. Women know they have to get stuff done and it can be really hard to turn it off, especially you know you go to work all day. You come home and then there's still a huge task list, like the kids still need to be fed, the shopping needs to be done, laundry needs to be done. You know you got to run people places. So it's like this never ending do, do, do instead of just be. Where am I going with this?

Bart:

Well, I'll just say I think that also comes down to what you consider a marriage or a relationship to, because a lot of those tasks men won't take on because they're the woman's role, or quote, unquote, you know, which I don't think is right. I think that there's a one thing we have to all understand is we're in this together and you know, if I'm going to sacrifice for somebody, somebody in, let's say it was you I'm gonna sacrifice everything to make your career what it is. That is us, absolutely, you know, not the other way around, and I think that's all part of when it's time to to switch roles.

Sunny:

We got to be able to do that, but that's not exactly what we're talking about here it actually is, because I like what I was kind of leading into is like, if you have a partnership where you've got a masculine energy and a feminine energy, it's important to understand this so that you can support each other in your leading energies as well as understand how to balance the other, because they're both really important in each human.

Bart:

Yeah, and also in the bedroom I mean. So like there's things there that you got to realize. If both of you are in masculine energy, you know, let's just go there. It's not going to be the best, you know.

Sunny:

Yeah, yeah, no matter, we'll kind of step back here a little bit. But like even in like, if you're attracted to another gender, your energies are most likely still opposite.

Bart:

Yeah, yeah. If you watch in a relationship even if they're gender specific, they're usually one or the other has some sort of energy that they're leading with.

Sunny:

Yeah, Because opposites attract and we're familiar with the energy that matches our own, but we're not magnetized towards it. So if you really want passion once again, if a woman is staying in her masculine energy all day, doesn't tap out of it, goes to bed that way and you've got your husband who's in his masculine energy. You're just not going to have the passion and intimacy that you want to have. There's going to be friction and there's going to be disconnect.

Bart:

Yeah, and you'll wonder why your wife doesn't want to do anything or not do anything but doesn't want to have intimacy is because they're still caught up in their masculine energy and they haven't had time to tap into their feminine state. But I don't know where you've got that in there, so we won't go into too much here, but just be aware of that Now we can wind and weave through the conversation, just like we can wind and weave through our energies.

Sunny:

Right, that's right. So kind of a little bit more about the masculine energy. So for a woman to understand this as well as for a man to, or the energies the masculine energy wants to hunt, pursue and chase. The masculine energy wants to hunt, pursue and chase. He has total concentration when there's a task at hand and you can bet he is on a clear path for a solution. That's why a lot of times when a woman is just venting to a man, he just wants to get right to the solution. But that's not what she wants, and we'll discuss that a little bit later. But very, very solution-oriented, he thrives on feeling appreciated, admired and praised and he actually needs to feel like he's needed. So the breakdown for a man whose leading energy is masculine is when he feels criticized, controlled or closed off to. Would you agree with that?

Bart:

Absolutely.

Sunny:

Okay. The feminine energy wants to be sought after, pursued, cherished, honored and safe. Safety is a big important thing because if you kind of think about like, the feminine energy is kind of more of a prey type of energy, where a masculine energy is more of a predator. So if she doesn't feel safe, it's a big issue. She needs to feel understood and seen and that's why some women just can't let things go. You're like just let it go, just let it go, but she doesn't feel like she's been understood, so she can't. And that's kind of where the solution-oriented versus just listen to me and understand me is all I want comes in you know, Feeling unseen or not understood is the chemistry for a breakdown for a woman who is feminine as her leading energy.

Sunny:

Women need time to just be. They need to dance, play and have time where nothing is pressing on them to get something done, and that's how they can stay in their feminine energy um, a little bit longer, and obviously also, maybe their work is a more creative work and then they're able to be in it longer. I'm just kind of generalizing here, but there are other instances, obviously, where they're in their creative energy longer than other women are.

Bart:

Well, let's be real, the world that we've been living in is a very masculine world. So, no matter what we want to talk about here, most women are going to have to tend to be in some sort of masculine energy longer than they should be because of the world we live in. It's just part of the game right now and I think that's shifting. I don't think it is. I know it's shifting and I think there's more attention being brought to it, but let's be clear it's very much what people say. It's a man's world, yeah.

Sunny:

And I mean it's not ideal, once again, for either to stay in their leading energy the whole time, because, like if a woman didn't ever get anything done, it wouldn't be ideal either.

Bart:

Well, and in the creative energy though, they get a lot done, but anyway, we'll keep going.

Sunny:

Yeah, well, that's kind of the wrap up on that.

Bart:

We've kind of already talked about the opposites and how passion, so if you've got anything else to add, no, I just think that you know, if you want to really anchor this and understand it is the way a man's built versus the way a woman's built will answer a lot of your feminine and masculine energy. And I mean that in human body, right, a masculine man is created to penetrate, to get after it, to do it. A woman's body is made to receive in all aspect, but creation actually happens in the woman's body is made to receive in all aspect, but creation actually happens in the woman's body, you know, and so therefore, you want to look at both energies still, though exactly. But you look at a seed of a tree, you know, look at any other thing out there. Will the creation of things, of what also gives you ideas of how to get into those states, understand why they need to be, why they need to be protected, why they're? You know everything is why they're. You know everything is open, closed, all that kind of stuff. So it's good.

Sunny:

Okay, so do you have any advice for a? Oh, this was another thing that I actually didn't include in the written newsletter is that if you are shut down, so like if a feminine energy is shut down, she will put on the mask of masculine energy and she'll stay on that and same with the men. So it's like a protective mechanism for some reason. So that is another reason why it's so important to be aware of these, because it's not healthy, but it's what we do.

Bart:

Yeah.

Sunny:

Yeah, any advice for a man who is in his masculine energy too much or needs to balance into feminine, or maybe has a feminine mask on or just anything there.

Bart:

Yeah, I think if you're, you know, if you're always in your masculine energy, don't be afraid to go do a painting and a wine tasting with your wife. You know, just go and be able to chill. Don't be afraid to just go on a trip and shut everything down and just be. You know, just exist. You know. And I think that's one thing as a lot of men we're like, oh, we can't, we can't, we can't, we got to go, go, go go. But reality is, this will make you healthier, it'll make you way more empowered in your life and in your businesses and everything else. So, you know, even though I'm a rodeo cowboy and I love to do all the things I do, I still need creation time. I still need to be able to just set, be you know and be present in these other things meditations, things like that that allow me to be in those different energies.

Sunny:

Yeah, and I think from a partner perspective, you know, when you come to me with the desire to understand me and to see me and kind of hold a container of like, whatever you feel is okay, like it's a world of difference for me to be able to relax and be with you and feel, like it says here, understood and seen.

Sunny:

So I always appreciate when you do that for me Awesome, okay. And as far as like feminine energy goes, I would suggest that you take time to be also to kind of unplug from the masculine energy and whatever that looks like for you to find pleasure in life. That can be reading a book, that can be looking at a sunset, that can be dressing up, like the other day I put some big old shoes on just to play dress up. I ended up wearing them for the day, you know, but it's like, oh, I'm just going to play with this, I'm just going to have fun with it. Dancing is one of the best ways to tap into feminine energy like the quickest way possible Turn on some music and just dance for a minute. But there's lots of outlets. But I think the main thing is like being playful and doing something just for the pleasure of doing it and no other reason.

Bart:

Yeah, yeah, so good.

Sunny:

Okay, so kind of some quick business updates. This week our I Do Epic tribe has been working hard to get their goals accomplished. I would say it's inspiring. Summertime is freaking chaotic it is. There are vacations going on, kids are home from school, there's reunions, lots and lots of travel. But we have noticed people who show up consistently for the calls are the ones who just continue to have quicker success.

Bart:

Yeah, just funny. You know we think that we ought to change because of but you know, anytime we get out of routine, it changes everything. So it's like those who stay in the routine and then work around it are the ones that are successful. I always relate it to like when I'm racing bikes I know I've got a deadline. It doesn't matter if it's snowing, it doesn't matter if it's raining, it doesn't matter if it's spring, summer, fall, it matters.

Bart:

I am training because I'm in the. I'm in the, I'm in the loop where a lot of people change their stuff around that and I think it's detrimental to them.

Sunny:

Yeah, yeah. It's really important, if and when you can, to keep the pedal to the metal. And you know it's July, which means fourth quarter is only a couple months away.

Sunny:

Like it is coming up. And so, speaking of that, we just had a huge semi-load of wholesale supplies pull into our yard Freely of the Magic Home, our candle company that our daughter Mercedes runs. So we're thinking fourth quarter already she's going to get all of her candles built out so that all we've got to do is ship when they get. For those of you who don't know, we had a TikTok video go massively viral last fourth quarter and she ended up making and shipping about 10,000 candles, which was huge for that little business, so super important. Like got to stay on the gas as much as you can. And then also, if you haven't started dialing in your fourth quarter strategies, I would say do it right now.

Bart:

Yeah, get after it.

Sunny:

Ezra Firestone actually has a Black Friday, cyber Monday toolkit that I really like. He's so good at walking you through and he pulls back the curtain on every single thing he does. Now we're talking $100 million e-commerce stores that he runs and he shows you exactly what he does, how he does it and gives you all the templates that you want to use, which I've always appreciated about it. So I got a link in the newsletter and I will try to put in the show notes too, if you just want to go look at it. Okay, and then just a reminder in case you missed last week's newsletter. We've been asked to speak in a breakout session at Funnel Hacking Live International.

Bart:

Anything you'd like to say about that. No, come watch us. I hope you join. I mean, there's never going to be an inexpensive way to not only be there, because you can do it virtually, and I would suggest you get an Airbnb or something like that. Literally, act like it's an event, show up, play full out and you'll have an experience of a lifetime. I hope you come to our session.

Sunny:

Yeah, that'd be really fun. And tickets are only $97 if you pay up front and, if you choose, you can also just not pay anything and then, if you love it, you pay $147. If you don't, it sounds like you don't have to pay anything. So I think it's a fantastic deal. There's going to be lots and lots of amazing speakers on stage and we're just excited to be part of it. All right, so it's just some quick life updates for you and I. Our big date night uh, not last Saturday, but the Saturday before was an absolute blast.

Bart:

It was amazing, a lot of fun.

Sunny:

Yep, we had a Western theme, we did a fun photo shoot and we did some role-playing had a fantastic time. It was one of A lot of fun. Yep, we had a Western theme, we did a fun photo shoot and we did some role play. Had a fantastic time.

Bart:

It was one of the best times ever. I just I love that we're able to plan those out, set an agenda, set an intention, go through our intention before we get started and then, you know, take the time to plan. And so right now we're onto our next one, which is in three more weeks, and we haven't committed to what the theme is yet or where our location is, but we've got to do that this week and then we'll be on to planning that and I think that gives you a lot of excitement and things to look forward to.

Sunny:

Absolutely so fun. Our son, kobe, made it home from Hawaii for the wedding and you and Kobe have already done some cold plunging, hot tubbing, power plating, PEMF matting and pickleballing.

Bart:

Yeah, let's go.

Sunny:

We've been busy. We had some intense games the other night with my little sister, kelly she's an amazing pickleball player and then also last night we rounded her up again with her husband and her son and had some more fun. Well, we also played in Utah after the wedding Also played in Utah after the wedding and in that instance my mother joined us. My mom plays pickleball.

Bart:

We're ruining next week's newsletter now.

Sunny:

Yeah, that's true. That's okay, we can talk about it again. We've been riding horses three or four times a week together. That's been really fun. Bart puts a lot of time into getting the arena ready. It takes a lot of time into getting the arena ready. It takes a lot more than you would think. He's got to water it down, he's got to run over it with a tractor to smooth it all out and then catch the horses, saddle up the horses before you finally get on the horses.

Bart:

I just don't like dust in my face. A lot of people don't care. I just I don't like all that dust. So I'd rather water the arena and work it than to have dust in my face.

Sunny:

Yeah, and then we'll just talk about. Kenya got married Saturday and it was absolutely beautiful. It was so fun to see you walk her down the aisle and man it's it's like a really what's the word I want moment when you hand our daughter to another man.

Bart:

Yep, Well, that was crazy. And you know, just getting ready to go down there, he just packing, doing all the things find out. When I got down there I had a hole in my pants. Oh yeah, Not just found out like Bart was fully dressed.

Sunny:

We were ready to go do a first look photo shoot with Kenya. Then he looks down and there is a rip in his seam down by his boots brand. It's a brand new pair. He'd never even worn them before.

Bart:

Crazy. Anyway, we won't share a bunch here about that. We'll share it in the next newsletter. But at the end of the day, just amazing, amazing time, amazing wedding.

Sunny:

Okay, so, and then just a few more quick things. Xander's been really focused and doing such a great job practicing his saxophone. There is not a day that goes by that we don't hear him practicing and it's really showing goes by that we don't hear in practicing and it's really showing. And what I wanted to kind of point out with this is that he's creating a pattern for success in his life that we love to see, and you were talking to me about how you met with two doctors who were elite clients this past weekend and you had a lot of interesting things to say about them. Do you want to share that?

Bart:

Well, I just point out that there's patterns in all things, you know, and patterns are important. Both of them are accomplished musicians, which is amazing, like you know, classically trained, so not just kind of musicians, but real musicians. They're also very competitive. They both one is high performance into motorcycles, the other one's into jeeping and stuff like that. So they love, you know, high performance, extreme type of things. They also are very caring uh, they are in the doctor space. So therefore they love humans and caring about people, and I just find it very interesting as you and I just also note they have the same first name and they.

Bart:

You know, as you work through those kind of things, there's patterns in all things and you want to look at these patterns so that you understand the theme of what success looks like.

Sunny:

Yeah, and I actually love the whole pattern thing, because I've I've stepped back and patterns are a big deal and they can be to your detriment or they can be to your success.

Bart:

Yeah, for sure.

Sunny:

I just can't remember we were talking about a relationship that had just started for someone again and it was like the same pattern has been repeating that she just got out of, and so it's like what patterns step back and go okay, what patterns do I see in myself and how can I set up a pattern for success versus I'm going back into something I don't want to go into, just because it's a pattern that I've always followed and I don't even know I'm doing it?

Bart:

Yeah, no, it's true, we follow, we follow patterns. We wonder why we keep attracting the same thing, but we we keep doing. You know, obviously craziness, right, that's what. That's what a pattern is.

Sunny:

But we can as we like to say, we can architect our patterns.

Bart:

Yep, you can change them.

Sunny:

And then all of a sudden, we're on a new trajectory for success because we're following the pattern.

Bart:

Yeah, I think when you, when you want to find out why something is causing you so much problem, sometimes you just need to look at your pattern and then go look at somebody who has the pattern that you like and go, oh wow, I see what they're doing. I can understand that. I'm going to try that pattern. It's not going to be easy.

Sunny:

Well, that's why sometimes we need a pattern interrupt, like Tony Robbins talks about. It's like it's almost like we've created this record and it's got all little lines on it.

Bart:

You almost have to scrape across all the lines to switch the pattern back up that you've been running, and then games can change. Life changes. Yeah, cool Okay.

Sunny:

I think that's it for this week.

Bart:

Let's go. All right, you guys, this segment brought to you by I Do Epic.
